Fill out this Membership Application FormIt is our focus to provide high-level intensive sailing training for the Chicago Sailing Community. For the 2013 season we are offering both an Advanced Match Race Practice and a Keelboat Racing Program. The Advanced Match Race Practice will take place Tuesday and Friday evening between the beginning of May and mid October allowing teams to train and perfect their match race moves for the season and big events. The Keelboat Racing Program will be offered for three 4-week sessions during the year: June, July, and September. This program will take place on Monday evenings allowing teams to refine their tactical decision making and boat handling as well as, getting an introduction to match racing.

Advanced Match Race Practice
WHAT- This practice will aim at combining and perfecting all of the match race moves around the course with the tactical decision making of short course racing.
- Each week will focus on two areas of the race course (ie. weather marks, gates, starts, etc.)
- There will also be some short course fleet racing incorporated into practice in order to perfect close encounters of boats, as well as, tactical decision making near marks and approaching the end of each leg.
WHEN:
- Tuesday and Friday evening
- Get to CMRC no later than 5:30. On the water by 5:45
- Skippers are encouraged to organize own crew members for practice
HOW:
- Sign up sheet will be sent out a few days prior to practice
- There will be a list of members mailed out 2 times per month including: contact info, weight, and ideal position on boat in order to facilitate communication between skippers and crews
COST:
- Membership Fee:
*$950 for skipper
*$650 for crew
REQUIREMENTS:
- Membership Work Hrs
*20 hrs.
*Hours not completed cost $10.00/hr.

Keelboat Racing Program
WHAT:Focuses on developing race tactics, race course strategy, fleet management, high level boat handling, and sail trim
Small introduction to match racing
WHEN:
- 4 week program once per week (Monday)
- June, July, September
- 5:45pm-8:00pm
HOW:
- Sign up for a 4-week program during June, July, or September
- Bring yourself. Bring a team. Bring some friends.
COST:
- $500/person
- 8-24 people
Out-of-town Members
- $500.00 initial membership fee- Includes one day FREE charter
- All additional charters are $400 for full day
- Coach Boat: $100.00/day
- 25% off if chartering more then 3 days

What we sail!
THE BOATS:- CMRC has 8 identical TOM 28 Maxx Sailoats
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
- $2500 Damage deposit from skippers payable by check or CC (damage quotes are at the discretion of CMRC Bosun)
- Take care of boats as if they were yours
- De-rig properly and clean boats after use
- At the beginning of each practice each team will be assigned a numbered spin, radio, and Y-flag, which are expected to be returned at the end of practice. (Will be taken out of damage deposit if not returned)
